The Veschitelli family converted this Umbrian farmhouse into four exquisite apartments in 2003. Each apartment is uniquely styled and all have a warm country ambience, are well-equipped, and share the wonderful view to the south. The unique character of each apartment is created by a combination of colour scheme and creative individual touches. So Angeli, for example, has deep pink interiors and carved wooden angels above the beds.

Each of the three ground-floor apartments has its own patio while Istrice has a small outdoor space area at the top of the stone stairway. Each has a shaded seating area in the 18-hectare garden, which also includes a (15m x 7m) swimming pool.

The house is in a remote part of southern Umbria, close to the border with Tuscany and just 8km away from the Florence-Rome motorway. It is extremely peaceful but also makes a useful base for touring both regions. There are good walks to be had in the nearby Villalba park and in the nature reserve at Monte Rufeno, while a little further afield are the historic Umbrian cities of Orvieto and Perugia.
