This delightful apartment, refurbished in 2002, is set into the medieval walls surrounding San Quirico d’Orcia. The apartment, which has a private terrace, overlooks the sixteenth-century gardens of Horti Leonini, which, after dusk, become the exclusive preserve of guests at Casa di Mollie. Entrance to the house is by a flight of stone steps from the garden. Inside,
a narrow staircase leads to the first floor with a sweet double/twin bedroom
with small stone buttresses on one wall, a tiny kitchen, a pretty little
bathroom with shower and an L-shaped sitting room with working fireplace
(the house is not centrally heated). Up another dozen steps and along a
tiled corridor is a second bedroom (twin). A steep but short flight of steps
leads to a covered loggia with iron seats, from where relaxing views of the
garden can be enjoyed at leisure. Distances:
