Casa della Marchesa and Casa Luisa

Steeped in the tranquillity of the Marche countryside, with panoramic views of medieval hilltop towns and the majestic Sibillini mountains, Casa della Marchesa and Casa Luisa are two large dream villas in a unique setting. Skillfully restored in 2004, the villas are furnished and decorated to the highest standard, with top quality furniture, handmade curtains and original works of art.

The villas, which can sleep up to 17 in all, are ideal for two families or a group of friends wanting to holiday together. They are also available to rent separately, each house retaining its privacy and independence. Each has its own garden, terraces and outside eating area with teak furniture and shares the use of a new very large swimming pool (14m x 6m) surrounded by terraces with unsurpassed views. The houses are encircled by 15 hectares of wildflower meadows and groves of fruit and walnut trees.

For that special wedding, there is also a private chapel in the larger of the villas.

The local town is Sarnano (10 minutes drive), which has a perfectly preserved medieval centre and is also known for its thermal baths. Here all your shopping needs are served by people who go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. In the wider area there is a wealth of places to visit and things to do, from Roman ruins, beautiful towns and the Macerata opera festival to walking in the national park, skiing in winter or swimming in the clear waters of Lake Fiastra in the summer.

Casa della Marchesa

This house was reputedly built for a marquess in the 18th century. It even has a private chapel with an altar. It has terracotta floors, all the old ceiling beams and is furnished with top quality furniture and handmade curtains.

On the ground floor is an entrance hall, a large living room with fireplace, three sofas and TV and DVD, and a second, separate living room. There is a magnificent and spacious fitted kitchen with double oven, five burner hob, two fridges (one with freezer), dishwasher, many cupboards and a large table seating 12 people. Doors lead from the kitchen to a terrace with views across the pool to the surrounding hills.

Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and a single room with a single bed. There is a bathroom on the ground floor with a shower, bath, bidet, loo and basin. There is a separate laundry room. On the first floor is a very large master bedroom and a large master bathroom with shower, bath and two basins. There is further large double bedroom and a further bathroom with shower.

Outside there are terraces and a pergola with a table to seat 14 people.
