Immersed in eighty acres of hazelnut and walnut trees, yet only four kilometres from Urbino, the converted farmhouses of Le Fontane provide the perfect combination of rural tranquillity and easy access to the treasures of the Renaissance.   

Situated on a hillside between two old Roman roads, the houses enjoy extensive views across the Montefeltro to the three peaks of San Marino in the distance.  It’s a delightful backdrop to a day spent by the pool, but this terrain of wooded hills and dramatic cliff-top castles is also ideal for exploration by car.  The butter-coloured farmhouses date back to the turn of the century and were completely restored and converted into apartments in 1980. 

Le Fontane di Sotto, the shortest of walks from the pool and tennis court, has three self-contained apartments upstairs and two, one of larger dimensions, below.  All are furnished in simple rustic style.  Two further apartments are available at fontanino, a solid old farmhouse an easy 500 metre walk away.  Guests may also wish to make use of the barbecue area, or walk through the woods to the mini-lake in search of carp, trout and a little solitude.
