Tucked away in a quiet rural setting close to the ancient hill-top town of Todi, Casa Federica offers an ideal centre for couples and families alike to explore the beauties of southern Umbria.  

The agriturismo, a group of well-restored apartments and cottages created from an 18^th farmhouse, is located in the Tiber valley just seven kilometres from Todi and within an hour’s drive of a number of other fascinating towns including Orvieto, Spoleto, Assisi and Perugia.  Tuscany and Rome are also within easy reach.  

If you prefer to forget the car and stay closer to home, the surrounding countryside provides wonderful opportunities for relaxing walks through woodland, meadows, vineyards and olive groves, while the Casa itself provides not only a large swimming pool but bicycles, table-tennis, a volley ball area and a children’s playground. A nearby tennis court and riding school offer further sporting options, while at the house lessons in furniture restoration and Umbrian cooking are available on request.   

The accommodation at Casa Federica consists of three self-contained apartments on two floors and two single-storey cottages, all furnished with great taste in typical Umbrian style.  The bedrooms – one double and one twin in each apartment – have solid wooden bedsteads and wardrobes, the living rooms/ kitchens equally sturdy sideboards, tables and chairs, all in appealing harmony with the exposed oak and chestnut beams in the ceilings; prints of Umbrian, Roman and other Italian scenes adorn the walls.  The kitchens and bathrooms are all excellently equipped, the kitchens with full oven and four hobs, the bathrooms with bidets and hair-dryers in addition to the showers and pretty handbasins. The apartments and cottages all have air-conditioning, TV sets and central heating, and tables and chairs and a BBQ for use outside.  There is a communal washing machine for use by all guests.
